The continuous rain might be too much for Aimee. Some branches in the center died and was cut away. So far no pests were seen and the soil felt somewhat dry to the touch before watering. The biggest buds dropped because of the rain. Aimee had some new shoots branching to the side, and new leaves ate growing

Gardenia Aimee is doing well. Although still not blooming, the foliage is green and luscious. I trimmed off a few yellow leaves, gave it 1/3 spoon of fertilizer, and watered with fermented rice water. Some branches have 3 leaves at the top, so we’re hopefully budding. Some branches grew very long that will need to be pruned back after we see some blooms.

Aimee arrived on May 1, 2020 with two buds. Today Aimee was given fertilizer at night and watered. She still has the two buds only gotten slightly bigger. Two smaller buds were onserved a few days ago.
