喜溫暖、乾燥和陽光充足。無明顯休眠期。不耐寒，生長適溫18℃——25℃，冬季溫度不低於10℃，耐半陰和乾旱，宜肥沃、疏鬆和排水良好的沙質壤土。生長期每周澆水一次，盆土切忌過濕保持乾燥，冬季只需澆水1-2次，夏季防曬。春末剪取成熟葉片扦插，插於沙床，約3周後生根，長出幼株後上盆。
